What a blast this assignment was. Used to rappel off of the guard towers at the missile shop. The "Ville" -- always fun and blasting our stereos in the dorm --Cool.

Welcome to Gwangju!
Today I want to introduce a Korean traditional market, Yang-dong Market,to you. It is located in western part of Gwangju City and was a very busy market in the past. These days there are many supermarkets and department stores in Gwangju, but only a decade ago there were many traditional markets instead of those big shops . Among those markets Yang-dong Market was a favorite one for almost all of the Gwangju citizens so many citizens went to the market to buy all they need. The products in the market range from vegetables to clothes. However, many merchants are afraid of losing their customers because ,nowadays, many citizens who used to go to the market often do shopping in big supermarkets and department stores. If you are interested in Korean traditional market, I highly recommend you go to the market and then you will see how Korean people haggle with each other and you are going to like the extra you will get when you buy something there for free, which is a kind of good Korean tradition.
Thank you for reading this and I hope you can enjoy visiting the market!
